A friendly English yoga class to start your weekend with energy and peace.
All classes are conducted in English.
- Yoga mats are provided free of charge.
- Please wear comfortable clothing.
- For your first class, arrive about 10 minutes early.

5-Week Beginner Course
learn the foundations of Sivananda Yoga at a gentle pace.
You will practice basic postures, breathing, and relaxation, while also studying the 5 Points of Yoga.
Gain the knowledge to practice safely at home and experience yoga as more than exercise—bringing health to both body and mind.
All classes are conducted in English.

Retreat Program
Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and spend time refreshing your mind and body. Tokyo Center offers a peaceful retreat just 15 minutes from the city center, surrounded by a lush natural farm.

About us
Tokyo Sivananda Yoga Center is the only official branch in Japan of the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre, headquartered in Canada. Originally opened in Yoyogi in 2007, it reopened in Chitose-Funabashi in November 2023.
A small team of resident staff runs the center, following the teachings of Swami Vishnudevananda and practicing Karma Yoga (voluntary service).
News
Swami Narayan, Director of the Vietnam Ashram, will visit Japan this December.
He has been teaching yoga around the world, sharing the message that “compassion and forgiveness are the true foundation of yoga.”
The year’s end is the perfect time to let go of resentment toward ourselves and others, and to welcome the New Year with a purified heart, love, and freedom.
